Meet Our Miami Tribe

My name is Luly I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Health Science and went on to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida as well. While still at school I became pregnant and had my first child. During my delivery, there were a series of unfortunate events resulting in a 4th-degree tear, a nerve injury in my leg, and a skull fracture to my beautiful baby boy. Because I was unable to feel my legs or walk on my own, I was discharged from the hospital wearing diapers, in a wheelchair, with my newborn. I did not know what to do or where to turn. It was these traumatic experiences that fueled my passion and inspired me to pursue a career in Women’s Health specializing in pregnancy and postpartum care.

I have continued my specialty training in obstetrics at Brooks Rehabilitation, with Lyn Schulty from the Institute of Birth Healing, the American Physical Therapy Association, and Isa Herrera of Pelvic Pain Relief. I created and ran a pre and postnatal rehabilitation and fitness program, from 2010-2012, and have worked in various physical therapy settings ranging from outpatient adult/pediatric orthopedic to inpatient and acute care.

I have gone on to have 2 more beautiful children and feel blessed every day that I have the privilege to serve others while pursuing my passion.

Rebecca Santoro, PT

Founder of Painless Pregnancy Miami Branch

Hello, I’m Dr. Belinda, a pelvic floor physical therapist. I completed my Bachelors degree in Physical Education at Florida International University and received my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Miami.

Upon learning about the pelvic floor anatomy and its significant influence on the body, and then seeing the struggle that my close family and friends were dealing with, I was amazed about how prevalent related issues can be. I then became determined to educate those around me about the power of the pelvic floor and the ability to treat and improve commonly accepted impairments.

Being born and raised in Miami, I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I also understand the diversity in cultures and customs and am dedicated to help people from all walks of life.

During pregnancy and postpartum, your body goes through MANY incredible changes for your baby’s growth and delivery. You deserve to understand what those physiological changes are, why they happen, address any issues, and feel confident and comfortable in your body throughout this journey. Incontinence, low back pain, pelvic pain, tailbone pain, postural changes, muscle weakness, prolapse, difficulty moving, are all common impairments associated with pregnancy. But just because they are common, DOES NOT make them normal. It is possible to treat and prevent these conditions with physical therapy. I am here to empower you and your body through optimal movement and education through your journey to be the best mother that you can be.

Being born and raised in Miami, I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I also understand the diversity in cultures and customs and am dedicated to help people from all walks of life.

I’m originally from Venezuela. Where I graduated with my Physical Therapy Degree in 2010. In 2012 my family and I moved to Madrid, Spain. There, I completed a physical therapy specialty in Obstetrics and Urogynecology from The Universidad Europea de Madrid. I have had the pleasure of working with pregnant and postpartum women for 10 years and truly love what I do. Hello, my name is Lauren Lagaron and I am so excited to be a part of the Painless Pregnancy team! I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a double minor in Sports Medicine and Psychology. I then went on to receive my Doctorate in Physical therapy from the University of Miami. While there I completed an internship with a Physical Therapist who specialized in Pelvic Health, and it was here that I found my passion for treating pregnant and postpartum women. I worked in an outpatient and acute care setting for a year before returning to The University of Miami, where I completed my Residency training in Orthopedics. After having completed and passing my board exam and becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, I have had the chance to come back to this passion with a much stronger foundation. I am currently pursuing a Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association. I am excited and grateful to work with such caring and like-minded Therapists, and look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

Hi! My name is Dr. Adrianna, and I am a Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Therapist with
Painless Pregnancy. I am a double ‘cane, and received my Bachelor’s in Health Science as well as my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Miami.

When I was in my early 20’s, I learned first hand what it meant to have pelvic floor dysfunction. I was scared, embarrassed, and lost, until I learned about pelvic floor physical therapy. After seeking help for myself, I threw myself into learning more about treatment of the pelvic floor.

I have pursued continuing education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and the Institute of Clinical Excellence. With this education, I have been able to successfully help women dealing with issues such as incontinence, sexual dysfunction, dyspareunia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and constipation. I believe that every woman deserves to love, understand, and feel comfortable with their bodies before they get pregnant, during pregnancy, and postpartum in order to feel their best!!

I am a firm believer that movement is medicine and have a passion for teaching Pilates. The principles of Pilates influence how I work as a therapist. These principles include control, precision, and breath, and together we can unlock your movement potential and help you heal.

My name is Susan Garzon and I am a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist with Painless Pregnancy. I completed my Bachelors degree in Biochemistry and Nutrition at the University of Miami and received my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at the Mass General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston.

I have always dreamed of a profession that allows me to connect with people deeply, which is why I immediately fell in love with the idea of being a Pelvic Health PT. This career allows me to give hope and empower women through all the changes and challenges that our bodies go through.

My approach to womanhood is very holistic. Throughout my career I have worked in many settings; from sports injuries in high level athletes to chronic neurological conditions and geriatric patients. Within the Pelvic Health realm, I have treated not only pregnancy related dysfunctions but also diagnoses such as post-radiation pelvic floor dysfunction, post-surgical pelvic pain and dysfunction, menopause-related pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, vaginismus and even issues related to your bowels such as constipation and fecal incontinence. I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor and a big fan of mindfulness practices.

In my free time you will find me practicing yoga, pretending to be productive at the beach, hanging out with my husband's friend, and planning my next little getaway. I am so excited to be a part of this team and to help you in your healing journey!
