Luly Diez-Arguellez, PT, DPT
My name is Luly and I am a Women’s Health Physical Therapist with Painless Pregnancy. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Health Science and went on to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida as well. While still at school I became pregnant and had my first child. During my delivery, there were a series of unfortunate events resulting in a 4th-degree tear, a nerve injury in my leg, and a skull fracture to my beautiful baby boy. Because I was unable to feel my legs or walk on my own, I was discharged from the hospital wearing diapers, in a wheelchair, with my newborn. I did not know what to do or where to turn.
It was these traumatic experiences that fueled my passion and inspired me to pursue a career in Women’s Health specializing in pregnancy and postpartum care.
I have continued my specialty training in obstetrics at Brooks Rehabilitation, with Lyn Schulty from the Institute of Birth Healing, the American Physical Therapy Association, and Isa Herrera of Pelvic Pain Relief. I created and ran a pre and postnatal rehabilitation and fitness program, from 2010-2012, and have worked in various physical therapy settings ranging from outpatient adult/pediatric orthopedic to inpatient and acute care.
I have gone on to have 2 more beautiful children and feel blessed every day that I have the privilege to serve others while pursuing my passion.
Lauren Lagaron, PT, DPT
Hello, my name is Lauren Lagaron and I am so excited to be a part of the Painless Pregnancy team! I graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a double minor in Sports Medicine and Psychology. I then went on to receive my Doctorate in Physical therapy from the University of Miami. While there I completed an internship with a Physical Therapist who specialized in Pelvic Health, and it was here that I found my passion for treating pregnant and postpartum women. I worked in an outpatient and acute care setting for a year before returning to The University of Miami, where I completed my Residency training in Orthopedics. After having completed and passing my board exam and becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist, I have had the chance to come back to this passion with a much stronger foundation. I am currently pursuing a Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association. I am excited and grateful to work with such caring and like-minded Therapists, and look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
Krisia Gattas, PT, DPT
My name is Krisia Gattas and I specialize in women’s health, pelvic floor and cancer rehabilitation. I received my bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York Institute of Technology. I became passionate about pelvic floor rehab during one my last clinical placement, and has pursued learning and practicing pelvic rehab ever since!
My interest in becoming a physical therapist arose from helping PT missionaries translate from English to Spanish during their trips to Honduras, where I was born and raised. I immediately saw the high demand and low supply of therapists in Honduras and in developing countries, and I wanted to make sure I could someday help them. I am so excited to now become a part of an amazing organization such as Painless Pregnancy!
Alexia Garcia, PT,
Hello! My name is Alexia Garcia and I am so excited to join the Painless Pregnancy team! I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Since then, I have had the opportunity to serve a wide variety of patients within the realms of orthopedics, neurology, and acute care. I developed my passion for Women’s Health when I began to notice a lack of resources and awareness for this specific population. Following this, I became a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist through Sarah Duvall and completed formal training in pelvic health with the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. In addition, I am a certified Pilates Instructor through Classical Pilates Education and certified Yoga Instructor through My Vinyasa Practice. As a result of my training and experience, I have adopted a holistic approach when assisting women in reaching their goals. I look forward to working with such an incredible team focused on serving all of you!
